Nipsey Hussle - The Marathon Continues(TMC) (Review)

Nipsey Hussle – The Marathon Continues (Review)

After being mind blown by the Marathon, Nipsey’s previous mix tape, Mr. Hussle slowly crept up to be one of LA’s hip hop giants. For all the quality work he's been putting out, he deserves it. In a way, Nipsey is bringing back LA’s underground gangster hip hop back. Although Nipsey does have a lot of street credibility, he doesn’t use that as a way to get fans. Let’s face it, Nipsey is one of the most passionate and lyrical rappers in the game. He spits elaborate raps about his life as a member of the Rolling Sixty Crips, one of the most highly respected gangs in Los Angles, and brings back that N.W.A. state of mind with every verse.
The Marathon Continues is 14 tracks of LA rawness. The name of the mix tape explains it all, the raw passionate lyrics that made his previous mix tape a classic carry over on to his new work. Nipsey expresses how hard he hussled to be at the position he’s in on the Outro:
“Spend a regular nigga monthly income on my outfit
See I was in front they house
With rocks inside of my mouth
When jealous niggas that hate me had their feet up on the couch
Then we made it out
And now we standing here
I hope niggas aint hoping that this type of shit gonna magically appear…”

To make a long story short, this mix tape is a free album. I’ll give it a 9/10. Go download it for free at Livemixtapes.com and Datpiff.com. Also you can download and purchase tickets to his shows at IHUSSLE.com. No videos have been released yet just a behind the scenes look at his upcoming video Rose Clique. We’ll make sure we post anything new Nipsey comes out with because you got to respect the hussle…
